not necessarily going for best but here are the players I loved to see. Zola Drogba Gullit Dixon Spencer Di Matteo Wise JFH Clarke Desailly
My gym/social club had a Q&A session booked with Kerry Dixon last week. I couldn't/wouldn't go , but was almost tempted to see what he would talk about. Does he do much of that kind of thing, do you know, and has anyone seen him? Can't picture him as the wise cracking raconteur somehow, but I may be doing him a disservice.
OMG Hutch windmill Hutch, the finest player I have ever seen, bar a few others that I have timely forgotten. Yes is and always will be my favorite player. The goal against Leeds in the 71 cup final at Wembley is still the best headed goal I have seen, no all time team without Hutch is plausible.
I'll never forget seeing his first game at SB. A mate of mine said to me as we saw the side we were putting out, "You might not know about this guy, but when you see him take a throw in you wont believe what you're watching!" A few minutes later I saw him take a throw in just inside the opposition half and it went straight to the oppo's far post. It must have covered a good 60 yards! He invented the long throw-in!
Sometimes life just doesn't go right, a bad road, a lot of crap, bad decisions, but still sad eh http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/alan-hudson-hits-rock-bottom-1981623
Angel -that's a tragic story! He didn't make my top 10, but he was mighty close! I cant make out why, with all the connections he had, he didn't get a leg up, from the club, mates etc!
Alan Hudson guy's? Please take a look at the Stoke board. One of the best players I have seen. Ever! Really sad to hear he is now a broken man. Best midfielder who played for us. P.S. hope you don't mind me posting this on your board fellas. All the best for next season. .
Just to put it into perspective, he was on £150 quid a week. I was on £12 per week. That was my first ever job though, 16 years old, if I earned that much money I sure as **** would not be as skint as I am now.
