I was just about to respond that I'd be so happy to be rid of Ashley he could do whatever the hell he wants with our kit/ ground/ etc so long as he puts some money in.

THAT is the state Newcastle fans are in by the way people. There are many clubs in far worse situations than us and I don't wish to belittle that but being annoyed at your owners isn't a competition - we were done with Ashley years ago and with good reason. Please god let us be rid of him.

I'm not looking for a Man City situation here. Being able to compete with the mid-table teams and maybe have a cup run would be fantastic. Not everyone can buy the league.

Neville's gone a bit OTT with his overcompensating for being a United player but he remains pretty good.

I'll be honest I miss the days of Hansen. I may not have always agreed with him but at least he had a personality and wasn't stuck up his own arse all the time. And he'd won something so could at least back up the ****e he spouted.

I hope not mate I realised how **** he was years ago when we won 3-0 at st James and he scored our 3rd.

We will have to wait to establish their intentions, but as far as I'm aware it wont be crazy spending . If I'm honest just competing in the way we should will do.
