I;m not deny that if they get a the backing and the funds, and start winning things (heaven forbid) they have a huge fan base. They are footy mad.
I take it you're happy enough not playing us next season so as widely predicted by your lot though you might get a lucrative away cup game against us.
If the Toon are bought by a rich Arab, it'll be at least 5 seasons before they'll be competitive. They'll need to spend billions to replace their current squad, but will the players go there? Ambitious and talented players want success next season, not in five years. I'd love it if the Toon hit the jackpot and become the plaything of Muslim princes. Not because I have any fondness for the Barcodes, but because it will give me so many new avenues for winding up Commie. He'll be praying to every known deity that this doesn't happen.
Nah were not far off top 10 already and got good young players coming through too. No team outside the top 6 scored more points than Newcastle after Christmas last season. We finished 10th the season before this in which we were 13th , so this notion were relegation fodder is inaccurate. The reality is it depends on how the money is spent . If its spent well it might only take 2 seasons imo until we challenge top 6 however I agree it's possible it takes a lot longer if the moneys wasted. Anyway the deals all fake news
Commie is beating his nads with a small brass statue of the Buddha and flagellating himself with a crucifix, just to make certain you are right.
I've lived long enough to know good things don't happen to either Newcastle or Sunderland. Were ****ed , we will stay ****ed and we will continue to pretend everything is ok until we die.
Funnily enough, that quote was lifted from Little Ollie's program notes, for Man United's last game of the season.
