As in one to join Bobby and Alan outside the ground. They chose him based on his footballing statue merits

I'd be looking to exploit the wide areas against Wolves, need Manquillo, Target, Fraser and ASM to step up in this game.

Im worried. We had a nightmare against wing backs for spurs. Each side ****ing scored, that’s just embarrassing. Think we should adjust to a back five, sadly. 532 as I said elsewhere, that may be the best way to squeak to the tally we need.

It's a new enhancement to his training regime, to help improve his agility.

    DPP thought of it actually!

Shelvey has to juggle with flaming swords while balancing on 20ft stilts on the very top of the Burj Khalifa building, while DPP throws sharp, heavy objects at him.

If reverting to 3/5 at the back I'd be looking to match them up in their 3-4-2-1 but with Willock out I'd be worried about the 2 who'd play in the hole.

Bruno and Joe as holding CM's ASM and ? in the hole? 5-3-2 would be easier to accommodate tbh so maybe your onto something there but who would you drop further up to fit in an extra CB?

My personal opinion is you should back your tactics against others and figure a way to make your tactic work against the opposition. Hence with the 3-4-2-1 Wolves play I'd be looking to over load the wide areas in the 4-3-3 we are playing and and get some service into the middle.
    ----------------------Dubz
    Manquillo----Schar----Burn----Targett
    --------Bruno -Shelvey- Joelinton
    Fraser --------------Wood-------------- ASM

I think the realisation vs spurs was that our players are just too **** to have faith in our own tactics. We can’t back ourselves against better teams. Ginola called it out - we’re still just copying stuff, we’ve not yet identified how to play really. I think the 5 has worked multiple times and think Howe can get it evolved from the park the bus we had under Rafa and the fear we played with under Bruce into something more threatening. Wood needs to just stay long the whole game. He’s simply not good enough to drop into a hole, his control isn’t great and he’s just not a footballer, he’s old fashioned and needs to be on the end of crosses. In a 532 we can see how he works in a big man/little man dynamic and with Targett/Manquillo maybe getting crosses in it could be better. Id then have Bruno sitting between Joelinton and Willock/Almiron, with a one go/one stay mentality, to allow us to go from 532 to 343 in transition.

Could be worth a go, especially as Fraser has looked leggy last 2 games.
But dare I ask, who the 3rd CB would be?
I know who Eddie would put in.

First time the words "Fraser" and "leggy" have ever been used together, I mean his ankles come up to his knees which are next to his hips FFS!

Lascelles was played in the right of the three last time, with Schar being more of a Cb/Dm hybrid. But we had 4 across the middle. I’m not a big fan as you shouldn’t need a wide midfielder when playing wing backs.

I’d go Fede in the middle of the two if fit, but Lascelles will play if Howe does this.

Yes. I have a pair of mustard chinos around my ankles whilst simultaneously shaving my pubes and waving a purple dildo and all at the same time as saluting Boris the Benevolent in my red and white striped shirt
