People say this as a big ol' "HAHA GOTCHA!" but it's all built on the idea that Rafa was a good manager and not a bang average one, who sucked the fans dicks in interviews. Never been more disinterested in Newcastle than I was during the horrible toxic boring period that Rafa was the manager.
I 'think' it's the 3rd place team goes into the Conference, but finishing bottom of the group means you are out of Europe completely.
Ok, so we need to try and finish above -probably- Milan or Dortmund. Think of the 4 leagues, PSG play in the easiest one, but have one of the best players on earth. Tbh, big chance that we could be fighting with Dortmund to stay off bottom place in the group.
3rd is where I'd like Newcastle to finish because they have a chance in that competition.. they ain't winning this one.
Think this season we are in too many comps to compete for 4th, but I would love us to qualify for the conference league. If we can beat the likes of City in cup games, we can certainly win a competition like the conference.
Hard to say until you see who drops into it and there is some very good teams there already along with the VAR babies,W Ham and Brighton.
