We've had a week that's enough... Hopefully we pull our covid sicky for the 1st 2 weeks of Jan These other clubs will have congested fixtures and we won't.
That’s the only positive they will have more to play. But if they don’t need to win then they can rest players for the winnable games.
I see that the Premier League have the game and score already sewn up https://www.premierleague.com/news/2424233
We have got this one. For some, hopefully most, of our players they know it could be their last game in the first team so they will be desperate to prove a point. 5-0, with Lascelles lobbing De Gea from 60yards for the 5th, with what was meant to be a ball up to Wilson.
Is everyone ready for another good walloping tonight? Not long until we go into games with hopes of winning
If manu beat us. There will be a very familiar feeling to the top six……. Most competitive league in the world they say.
I can't see any other result mate... Its home under the lights but barring maybe a red card for them I can't see anything other than a fairly embarrassing defeat
@Geordieginola It's almost like they decided OK we won't have the super league but we will make sure nobody gets top 6
I mean yesterday was back to penalty heaven for the top six again. Man City got 2. Arsenal got 1. Chelsea got 2. Definitely feels like the PL “need” the top six product to function. Wonder if the PL promised them.
The sports been riddled for years but right now it's a close to the end.. I think the super league will return sooner than people think actually
I asked the question when it kicked off about the super league whether or not it would actually be good for English football if they did go. The vast majority where against it. I say let them go and invite rangers and Celtic into the premier league.
Mate I don't think you get the idea.. They don't plan to go anywhere... The want to stay in the Prem and have the super league. There would be no financial gain for the other clubs to compete, so they wouldn't. Its all about competing for top 4 and European money, so if the clubs spend high and finish there they don't get the money anyway. It would end the sport in this country for all but 6.. No hope for fans like us just like Ashley's reign forever... That would become the objective of all the other clubs.
No. I don’t think you get my idea. When I say let them go I mean tell them to **** off and do their little super league but they can’t play in the PL. I get that the money in the league would be lower. But I couldn’t give a ****. As you said it’s probably closer to happening than ever so it doesn’t matter whether it’s my format or with them in. Both ways means they money follows the cash cow.
Well if that was the idea then you'd have grounds to suggest it might be for the best, but the reality is that it isn't the idea. The superleague would have been devastating mate. They won't just go they don't want that. All its about is killing off the competition. They wanted to end domestic football in this country and make football all about 6 clubs forever.
Yes unfortunately your right. And it’s happening under our noses anyways. The current league table proves that. I don’t know what the solution is. But when the officials and league are playing dirty also it makes it impossible. We need to keep manu out of our penalty box tonight that’s all I’m saying. As soon as they are in the box the whistle will be in the referees mouth ready.
They've just bullied the premier league more ever since. They'll be fine as things are, but ultimately they want that money on offer and it'll come back. The next time it rears its ugly head it'll get done. The minute one or two of those clubs are under threat from say a villa or an Everton wolves or Newcastle they'll start plotting. They'll reshuffle it around. Dress it up differently and over time sell the idea to a good % of their fans and then boom it'll be done
Read this and your suspicions are probably right. This was meant to block the threat. https://news.sky.com/story/amp/prem...-to-head-off-future-breakaway-threat-12409507
