Apparently it was an " off the ball incident " The ref was 40 yards away and the linesman flagged it up. It's disappointing but we shouldn't be worrying about Huddersfield given our points advantage. It's in our hands and if we beat Leeds then I think we're up.
With both Brighton & Huddersfield winning the pressure is on us tonight. Can't say I'm enthralled with the team but welcome Hayden back. Can't understand how Rafa persists with Perez and Murphy must be gutted he can't get a game in front of him.
I think there's probably a small handful of teams with a better overall squad of players but our strength lies in a small group of individuals such as Ciaran Clark, Jonjo Shelvey, Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle and bar one or two there's no other team in the league can boast that level of player.
It's nearly three months since we played really well at home. Tonight's the night to put that run to bed. We've missed Hayden as well as Gayle's goals. I'd take a point and hope for some serious effort to get this season in the bag.
Feeling a bit twitchy about tonight, especially after the earlier Huddersfield result. Can see us losing to Leeds and then, unlikely as it seems mathematically, bottling too many of the remaining games under the resulting pressure and dropping to third. Then to be knocked out in first round of the playoffs. If any team can snatch failure from the jaws of success then it's NUFC.
We usually play better in the second half, but we've played well first half, and are unlucky not to be ahead.
