For me, the formation is wrong. There's six players in hexagon shape and a ****ing massive hole in the middle that B'mth can just relax in. When you have such awful wingers like Almiron and Fraser, there's no threat, then you have no midfielders supporting and Isak against 2 CB's. It worked a bit last season because of the element of surprise. But it cannot work with players like these. We need to get more control in a 4-2-3-1 or copy Brighton's formation. Big question marks over Howe so far. Not beating B'mth would be a ****ing awful result.
Crystal Palace showed the rest how to play here and howe simply doesn't have the players in fwd areas. Wood should be at 9 though if they're reduced to cross after cross.. crossing to fraser isak and Almiron seems a joke
I also feel like newcastle need to risk it , but this is the way clubs do it now . They just keep the ball and risk **** all until it's too late . Welcome to the future clubs sitting back and wasting time ..... I get Liverpools feelings more now they get this most weeks .
