The point being to validate that Anderson was our best player 3 years ago? Cos he wasn't then and wouldn't even get in the team now.
Tonali is a good player but not as good as people make out. It's going to become more and more apparent how good Anderson is over the next year or two.

Man Utd have been crying out a player like this for years (and still are). They've been playing Eriksen for 3 years (nearly) and Mason Mount more recently. Chelsea bought Caicedo, Arsenal bought Odegaard and the bin dippers have bought MacAllister all within the last 3 years. If only we'd hung on to Amdy Faye we'd have easily won the Prem and Champions League 20 years ago. These days we're stuck with Tonali.
Tonali isn't the same all around player. Anderson will add his goals soon, get in England team for the world Cup and when the media starts saying what's fairly obvious people will then go with it. Seriously he's a top quality player with tremendous control, strength on the ball, defensive capability, passing and runs games... I don't know what people are watching at this point.
