I worry newcastles over achievement so far will come back to bite them.. It appears the fans have started thinking anything but a win isn't good enough . they've started thinking about top 4 too much. Top 4 was never really going to happen.
I think the rot has started... max is taking loafs of heat and he was poor but there's been issues in this side for the good while. It's overloaded with grafters now and it's **** on quality... January looks to have been a wasted opportunity... 60 million on Isak looks a waste because he can't stay fit or get in the team.
I guess they had no money and nothing was available that they saw as value . I expect as I said yesterday that Newcastle will struggle in comparison to the season for a year or 2 before doing something similar. This squad needs 300 million in fwd players and another 50 on another decent cm before it's a top 4 side. When everyone’s fit, fine. But if Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea had fully fit squads every week they would not be where they are, so you have to do better. Almiron no threat, he’s been worked out but worryingly we still keep looking for that one-two down the right when it’s clear it’s covered. ASM looks like his nose is out of joint following the Gordon arrival. Wilson is regularly missing sitters. ****ing absurd that Isak wasn’t available, it was a nothing incident. Murphy and Anderson are rubbish. Burn has been dodgy and is starting to be targeted now. Schar and Trippier not at their best. It’s a wobble - is it a downturn? Not sure, we’ll see. Newcastle are just the next Everton or west ham... there's numerous owners come in and had a little go, but the big 6 have everything covered. Newcastle cannot compete because they cannot sustain spending and they all can. If Newcastle want to compete theyre going to have to bulldoze their way there and ignore ffp. They've spend 250 millions and today only Pope trippier Botman and big Dan bloody burn were there to show for it. Max is a worse player than before and isak wouldn't have started anyway. The majority of the 250 million has been completely wasted .

It comes naturally... top 7 imo would be an over achievement with this group .. well coached all safe hard workers and easy to manage , but very little quality . I know people hate hearing it, but it's pretty accurate.. The top 6 have real quality I don't think newcastle have... hence the skoda comparison..
FFS guys. The unbeaten run is still going Bruno was out of the side and it's like we should just walk over west ham or something. They are fighting tooth and nail to stay out of a relegation scrap. Let's keep our feet on the ground here we've had a meteoric rise and it's really hard to stay at the top with a target painted on your back. We are doing well. And let's not get started on Howe he's doing brilliant. Could be Liverpool!!
Our league position is based on graft and pressing. We have had a few windows but a lot of the dross remain. Fat Mike really did a number on us. I'm concerned the players are believing their own hype. We don't press as much as we used to
