For some reason Burn is getting criticised for concentrating on defending when he is a defender. If we are looking at players who failed to open up City’s defence on Saturday then there should be a number of our other players who stand to be criticised for failing to do that before Burns name crops up.

He’s not the best left back in the World but he was part of the best defence in the PL last season. He will get replaced in time, possibly even this season by Hall, but on the basis we can’t buy everyone we want immediately then some patience needs to be exercised and some acknowledgment to Burn for what he does do, namely defend.

 

Which he failed to do for the single goal that beat us on Saturday. I’ve yet to see anyone say he wasn’t at fault.

 

I don't think it was Burns fault at all! Burn was marking walker wide left and Joelinton didn't spot the runner and didn't stop the pass.

If it was anyones fault it was Joelintons, however the player rattled one into the top corner from 18 yards, so that's just a good goal for me.

 

Exactly - Burn goes to Foden, as I think he should as Walker is pretty much redundant in the move at this stage. Maybe one of them should have cut out the cross from Foden (which was excellent)

Joelinton should be tracking Alvarez but was pretty much jogging back
