Not me and I didn't read any posts here agreeing with him, majority on here saying top 6 would be a result and a hard ask.
The fans should be grateful.... all they wanted was a club that tries... get a grip man the futures bright
In every conceivable way that was a ****ing disaster. If we were expecting to fight relegation, that’s 3 points lost. If we were Luton that’s 3 points lost. But we’re not. Yet again we end the game with the exact same players (Isak, Tonali, Gordon) watching from the bench, playing the exact same “tactic” and getting the exact same result. Meanwhile we’ve spent £80m on a reserve youth left back and reserve youth right back. The owners are talking about being the very best, so I’m not buying the idea that we have heightened expectations - they are setting the precedent. So this kind of utter **** today is unacceptable.
Just having a laugh. Not sure why he thinks I need to go mourn someone? Not sure if that’s a threat that he hopes someone I know dies or something. tbh worse thing is I’m not even a scouser!!!
Ooooft youre not winning every game 5-1 you’re not even beating us 5-1 this season wait till midweek euro games start double Oooft
Rubbish. The owners are saying we want to be the best, then blatantly not doing things that will make us better. Who would you rather have playing today, Pau Torres and Moussa Diaby or - for the same money - Livramento and Hall?
Just to clarify. Are you wanting me to go mourn someone that died during Hillsborough? Bit pathetic or hoping someone I know does? Proper weird.
They want to be the best but every man and his dog knows it will take more than a year. Seriously it's a case of heightened expectations off the back of a miraculous year. It's a long season Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and just because they finished a low 5th one year doesn't mean a thing imo.
They've taken a club in 19th and got it in the champions league in 18 months . We're 3 games in ffs... get a grip. In 5 years see who's here.
While that is true, the club weren't exactly truthful about the money they were going to spend either. They have spent way over expectations and that increased money has improved results and improved results ends with improved expectations. You can't say, Newcastle have spent double the amount expected, they've signed more players than expected, performed better than expected, but the fans are not allowed to increase their expectations. That's a bullshit I'm posting on a forum opinion and not a real opinion. Yeah, I expect Newcastle to beat a team with 10 men at home, we were already 1-0 up before the red card. If we shouldn't expect that then I think this entire thing is pointless. Why even watch football? What about PIF influenced Howe to take off Tonali and bring on Longstaff? Was that the fans applying too much pressure and bullying him? Or the manager being lazy?
Newcastle lost I think they lacked the correct mentality and howe managed the game badly. I'm just not doing this Robson out ****e style stuff and even worse Roland is after the owner's. The owner's have done very well and after 16 years of Ashley I can handle falling back for a year or 2.
I think the owners are great. I think the three primary parties invovled are really good I am honestly sceptical about Dan Ashworth, I think he has influenced signings since he came in and I don't like it at all. The first window we had under this ownership to this date, is still the most transformative window Newcastle have had. Since Ashworth came in, we have signed too many young players who aren't starting 11 for way, way too much money.
**** all to do with the result. I can’t stand your modern fans whinging that you’re hard done to. ****ing scousers are a stain on this country. “We’re not English, we’re scouse”. **** off you arrogant ****. And **** all the scouse ****s who cone on this thread.
I agree mate and I said a few weeks ago I was expecting more exciting players this summer and it all felt a bit safe and easy to manage. It's still a bit early to judge imo because we've played two sides that will compete to win the league, but ffs Newcastle were hand gifted the opportunity to win today. Win away at Brighton and it's a decent start regardless, but really do you think Newcastle can finish top 4 ? I don't.
