Thought I might as well get the ball rolling on things this week as the English Premium League returns to our lives / screens. We're back to an old fashioned 3pm Saturday kick off which means no (legal) tv coverage, i'm sure most of us by now have sauces for watching most games now....those that can bear to watch that is. Team News Shelvey looks to be the only doubt having not played in the friendly in Spain despite training, other than that Rafa should have a full compliment of players to pick from, i'm half expecting the following :- Our subs bench is starting to look a lot better now with the likes of Ki, Kenedy, Muto, Fernandez and Dummet etc. Referee is none other than Kevin please log in to view this image last seen for us in the drab 1-1 FA Cup (what the **** is that) draw with Blackburn. Huddersfield have collected a mahoooosive 1 point from their last 13 games which was a 0-0 draw at Cardiff. I'm going with a 3-1 win to the Toon for this one. Miggy, Ritchie and Rondon scoring for us. Reet, that's your lot for now kids, happy weekend eve th'morra and hope y'all have a cracking weekend.
Don't want to be picky but..."English Premium League"?????? Chippy, is there not any literate posters who could have done this? Surely there must be someone. I mean that Manc can almost speak English, we could have given him a chance...
Thought this was another very good effort from the Cronemeister. Expecting a confidence boosting 3-1 win from this with Almiron having a blinder.
I used to go out with a Yorkshire lass, she loved her udders feeled and she had a fanny like an empty head lock. It's for that reason alone I'm going for a 3-1 win.
If we are sticking with 5 at the back I hope we go with Mo Diame, Longstaff and Hayden as the mid 3. Perez/Miggy playing just off Rondoninho, Fernandez > Schar. Should have the strongest bench we've seen this season as well which is positive.
---------------------Dubravka------------------------- Yedlin - Schar - Lascelles - Lejeune - Ritchie ---------------Hayden - Longstaff------------------ --------Perez -------------------- Almiron----------- -----------------------Rondon------------------------- Subs - Woodman, Fernandez, Barreca, Diame, Ki, Muto, Joselu
There is no excuse to have Joselu on the bench tomorrow. Shelvey/Dummett/Kenedy/a plank of wood have to get in there before him surely?
I think it will be tight first half, probably go in 1-1 at half time. Then of course we will romp away to a 3-1 victory 2nd half. Almiron grabbing a late home debut goal.
Shelvey - Diame and Ki both on bench so not needed Dummett - if he is on the bench then Barreca isn't Kenedy - no thank you. Joselu has actually scored this season surprisingly. The only way I would have Joselu not on the bench is if Rafa decided to have Toure there instead.
