Personally the last few games I've not liked what I've seen at all. It's a win and that's great, but I'm not seeing anything other than a drubbing away at pool.

 

They were in the first half. We were not good in the second half, but at the same time, we didn't present them with the amount of glaring opportunities that they gave us in the first half.

 

Exactly so it wasn't impressive, so there's no harm in saying it. It doesn't mean anyone's not pleased with a win, but some people seem to wet the bed when anyone points at any negatives.

I actually think they could have scored 4 or 5 second half.

 

We basically got away with one due to Howes inability to get tactics right.

The game should have been dead and buried.

Howe trying to be clever in games when he’s not good at it is just stupid.

 

If the instructions were manage the game I suppose it's worked, but they didn't do it well.

It's not just today and if they don't improve they'll be having a dreadful day at Wembley

When is Joelinton back? He's a huge miss.. The only one with any strength and grit.

You'd think we'd lost the game with some of these reactions, that's a huge win.

 

It was the manner of that second half that worries some of us. It was self inflicted. A clear instruction to take a foot off the peddle with an eye on the Liverpool game.

 

Isak Hall and Gordon are injured I think. All hobbling...hopefully all OK and they just couldn't be arsed.

 

We are 5th, in the league cup final and FA Cup last 16, and haven't been allowed to spend money for the last 3 windows.

We are doing well.

 

And if we get something at Liverpool it will have been the correct call.

 

We are, but why does it feel like we're treading a tight-rope? Possibly because of the money, to be fair.

Other teams are quite good aswell to be fair apart from the promoted clubs.

 

Agreed but we need to give ourselves the best chance..could be the difference between hanging on or conceding a goal right at the end, who knows.

 

If they had equalised we would be saying we threw 2 points away. And we nearly did.

And the chances of us getting a result at anfield is slim.

3 points from the two games is a good return.

It’s a win at the end of the day. But we should have been so much better second half. It’s done.

 

We'll lose to Liverpool I assume, we can't read anything into that. We've won the game we needed to.

 

It's another where we just need to stay calm. 4-0 is probably the difference between the teams, from the spend, quality, depth. Anything less is to be expected, any point at all is an awesome performance. But I'd take a ****ing hammering if we could then win the LC.
