I think Newcastle should just play the reserve team in this game... it's all about the cup .

Our very best is suspended. It’ll probably be tight and we will either get narrowly beat or draw. I felt we needed to win today to have a chance vs Liverpool. But we’re stuttering. Maybe everyone is distracted by the cup, so hopefully in a couple of weeks whatever the outcome we can focus more.
Once Guimareas comes back in it'll improve , but I actually think losing Willock is a blow .. he never hides , he's formed a good relationship with Joelinton on our our left and it is most definitely the left that is in need of urgent surgery.
I thought Longstaff had a good game, he seemed to alter his role slightly with Willock going off. For all the talk of issues if Isak/Wilson can find their feet (they're looking good in patches but not at the level they can be by any margin) then we'd have won against Bournemouth (both games btw!) and our position would be looking a lot stronger.
