We got deluded again and thankfully have been humbled early on. Lose the next 2 and they'll be after Howe the owners and the players as usual.... tough start ... it'll get better after the inevitable panic.
I'm not saying they will lose but it won't be the end of the world if they do. Liverpool have far superior fwd players, they're still Liverpool while Brighton are on fire and Newcastle are away. I'd be very happy with 6 points after the 1st four fixtures and I think that would be a good start. 3 points wouldn't be the end of the world given the four fixtures in question. I'm being positive.
That was a Rafa performance to show Mike Ashley to put his hands in his pockets and buy a couple of players
I don't think it was that bad and newcastle will avoid any real quality until their lives depend on it...... dare I say Saint Maximin was a miss in this one?. Newcastle caused no issues for them whatsoever ...they lack anyone that's a little bit different when they can't have it all their way..
Gordon played well was just unfortunate that he was late a couple of times Isak was isolated but I blame Joelinton and Almiron. Joelinton just walked around the pitch. Almiron, like last week in the first half, was anonymous and weak with the ball. Tonali was dogged and Bruno was looking backwards. Anderson showed no fear she was our best midfielder when he came on. Barnes, like ASM would have been, was hindered by Burn
He was a problem for other teams even if he lacked end product.... I just feel newcastle are a bit boring and safe all over the pitch and when they play a better team like last night they have no answer. Anyway it's the toughest one out the way let's hope they bounce back.
Barnes was OK too but Bruno ignored him a few times in the last 10 and they kept looking for Almiron. Almiron was up against a 100 Million pound player last night so struggled naturally
