Strongest team out tomorrow by the looks of it, need to get 3 points and kick start the season. No excuses now, we've played the "tough games" and lost by the odd goal to all of the top 6 we've played so far and we need to start playing better at home. Need to score a couple and get the confidence up and hopefully a strong defensive display as well. With the exception of Yedlin and Dubruvka we've had pretty much the whole team over the break so should be well drilled and have been focusing on creating scoring opportunities and trying to keep possession. Dubruvka Yedlin Lascelles Fernandez Dummett Shelvey Diame Ritchie Perez Kenedy Muto Darlow, Manquillo, Schar, Hayden, Murphy, Atsu (Rondon if fit), Joselu. 3-1 Muto (2), Kenedy
We have to win tomorrow so I think we will just about manage the 3 points. They are not great on the road either. Hope we start fast though and get them on the back foot. If they get organised and a foot hold in the game they can be difficult to beat.
Diame I will give you but Perez on the other hand is no world beater but he's decent for our level, I mean lets face fact's he out scored Rondon and Joselu last year as a second striker doing a lot of donkey work for the team so I see no reason to start either of them up top a head of him. Just need to pray Muto is as good as he looked in the first half vs manure...
Bit off topic but the Dunston/Gateshead FA Cup game is available online to watch on the BBC website currently Heed 2-0 up after 20 mins
I see Rondon still out. The man is a walking sicknote and is Slimani all over again. Rafa certainly knows how to pick them. The players he let go seem to be knocking them in every week. It does not bode well we have to rely on his lovechild Perez and Joselu as our main goal threat. Paramount we get 3 points today and I hope Muto is on fire in this match.
