The point is that Newcastle fans seem to pick and choose when it's OK to be critical of managers. Pardew finished 5th with Ashley not the PiF, so I personally believe Howe has ridden the wave of positivity following the takeover and the money that followed...that's all stopped and we don't look very good at all right now, so people are right to be saying it.
Yeah but then Pardew went to Palace and managed to get them the worst record of all 92 league clubs in the calendar year of 2016. Anyone who thinks Howe is not massively better than Pardew is insane.
Howe is miles ahead of Pardew. But we can’t just sit back. Howe would even accept that he is under pressure now. If he isn’t then we are not the club I thought we would be.
The point is that the people that won't allow criticism of Howe have been critical of other managers even when they did well. Pardew came 5th with a crap team though. Howe hasn't done much better really and without the money, I don't think we'd have stayed up. Honestly I don't think Howe's that's good at all, but he's not the worst manger by a long way.
I think he is. He said himself that we would be good for the next transfer window (summer) but whether he would be there he wasn’t sure. He knows he’s been set a target which is probably either Europe or a trophy at best. Hes done well. But he’s not taking us to the next level so we either accept we are a top half side or we go for it and move on. City had 3 or 4 managers before they landed the elite. We can’t expect Steady to take us there.
This is true and it'll probably be next season when the **** will hit the fan if things don't go well. The excuses will be gone.
He really didn't, it was a bloody awesome team, who he then messed up by bowing to Ba's needs of being up front.
The game was lost before then. It was idiotic. And we should have won. But the game was lost in the managers heads. Time for change. IMHO.
He didn't mess it up it was Ashley... He sold all the players and then of course people blamed pardew. Pardew for me is the same ilk as They all ride waves to a degree.
We let them back in. Schar and Burn at CB is ****ing laughable. But Tino Livramento has awful positioning sense.
Howes rotation is very odd.. Today you rest Isak and a Gordon for example. He's managed to rotate without protecting anyone but hall.. I suppose that's at least one success.
