Last season's pre season clearly set the tone for the league cup win and CL qualification - it was all despair when we lost to Yokohama F Marinos, but I knew it was destined to be a legendary season when we beat Stade Brestois 29 a few days later.

I don't think that's fair... There's simply genuine arguments from both sides, which I acknowledge, but unfortunately there's no acknowledgement from the people who want to believe everything is great.

I, personally, don’t believe everything is great - but I do think it’s miles better than before, and that it’s for the first time in my lifetime got a better than evens chance of being even better in the near future.

I would imagine so yes, but now even if they play they won't have Joelinton and Tonali inform of them, so people will ignore that and start asking for burn and Schar again when we get beat.

I don't think we'll ever see our best 11 this season... It's going to be one of them like 2 years ago ... Our intense style is a recipe for disaster.

We need wins not reasons to think we can get them surely?

All anyone can do is try to tell themsleves about positives, but it's only because it was Liverpool. Next week if they lose it'll start becoming difficult to bullshit ourselves out of.

Ultimately this side is already picking up injuries, suspensions, can't score more goals easily, concedes easily and is already out of the race for Europe if they lose at Leeds.

I can't see this team winning many games because like I said last week if you don't score goals when you're dominating games you're going to lose lots of games.

We have had an uncomfortable pre-season but honestly, our performances have been a pleasant surprise. We have been hard to beat and actually managed a few goals today when 10 men.

We're also a thin squad, already carrying injuries and will be playing 3 a week.
