According to me sources (I did a quick whip round the boards(/just the liverpool one) for some desperate gossip), it seems Liverpool and Spurs are in for Bologna winger Gaston Ramirez (who I, and seemingly most of the scousers, know little of), though only one of them (unconfirmed which one) has put in a bid thus far.

They also seem interest in Dempsey...

Oh, and there's a "Rodgers out thread!" already... I can't tell if it's serious or tongue in cheek

 

Excellent thread JPF and some good viewpoints too. Agree with a lot of what you say.

I genuinely think top 7 is our most realistic finish next season. If we finish higher, I'll be delighted.

One thing I am really looking forward to is the style of play teams will adopt this coming season. Some of the more 'boring' teams have slipped out of the Prem in he last couple of seasons. With the likes of Norwich + Swansea staying up and now being joined by the likes of Southampton + Reading, there are more forward minded clubs. Rodgers will probably get Liverpool playing better and no doubt Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and both Manchester sides will all be lethal going forward too.

Along with teams like WBA + Fulham who can be really up + down in their performances, there will be lots of unpredictable games, lots of goals and some mad scorelines.

Really can't wait.
