I mean what the **** are some of these guys watching?! Villa have built sensibly, got CL football and continue to impress.

The fanboys are picking holes in villas performance yet offering undying empathy for Newcastle’s dreadful efforts.

Second half they had 87% possession at one point and at times the passing was very good. They're the real deal. Watkins should have had 4 or 5.

And they still only scored 2 goals in the second half against an absolutely abysmal Everton side.

Good players but not playing as a good side. Watch City and Arsenal for the comparison. Good players playing as a good side.

They were playing Everton, who were 2-0 up in 30mins due to appalling defending! Admittedly that may have played a part in the way the game went because Everton decided to then sit back and Aston Villa's game style is to piss around at the back trying to draw the opposition forward and then move it quickly through midfield but it just didn't work well against a team sitting back. The 87% possession was mostly in their own half. If Everton had been a bit braver when they were 2-0 up, they could have held on to possession and won comfortably.

By the same token you're telling yourself Newcastle were 5th and ignoring performances.

Aston Villa were actually very good second half and on another day would've won much more comfortably..it's the Premier League .. every game is hard.

They're a very good side mate.

Newcastle? Newcastle can be, but we've not seen that this season at all.

And so are we. We just haven’t clicked yet. And we still have had a few key players missing for one reason or another such as Tonali, Botman and Schar.

I actually agree Villa are a good team but honestly thought they didn’t look quite right for a lot of yesterday’s game otherwise they wouldn’t have been 2-0 down to Everton deep into the first half.

I never said Newcastle weren't I said we haven't seen it yet and you appear to agree while posing a list of excuses.

I don't know what the hell you are watching because Aston Villa looked like scoring every time they came forward.... Watkins should have had 4 or 5.

I think Villa are probably a better side than Newcastle and certainly a stronger squad with a better manager and coaches.... It doesn't bother me enough to find reasons to the contrary.

They finshed ahead of Newcastle last season and were also in Europe for longer than us.

Yesterday you were describing us as ‘s***e’ for every game this season which isn’t true. And that’s what I have been taking issue with. To use your own comment, it's the Premier League .. every game is hard. Yet we still beat Southampton despite only playing with 10 men for over 2/3 of that game. And no acknowledgment from you that that was a good performance. It may not have been pretty but it was still a good performance. Whilst Villa struggle to beat Everton at home with 11 men and you’re singing their praises. I’m not the only fan with rose tinted glasses on in this discussion.

Villa really didn't struggle after Everton scored their second.

It was one way traffic the rest of the game and Villa could have scored 6

I agree with your point but I’m classing the struggling over the whole game.

Plus, Everton had 2 glorious opportunities in the second half to get a third. Both I think to CWL. Yes it was one way traffic in the second half but Everton shouldn’t have been able to have 2 such opportunities if Villa were genuinely in control. You very, very rarely see that with City when they control a game. For me, there always seemed there was a possibility of that happening again.

Is it me or does the atmosphere at this London Derby sound boring and ****e

the only time you have heard the Spuds fans is with their boring monotonous version of "oh when the spuds go marching in"

other than that all I can hear players and managers shouting

maybe the sound is turned down ??
