I'll go back to the collective impact of poor rotation and game management because this is the crux of it. The manager is responsible for the squad management as much as he is anything else.

The decision regarding Pope was merely an example of a decision that just might (we'll never know) have cost us our 1st pot in 67 years.

I personally think it was a poor decision.. other people are free to their own.

I don’t think goalkeeper injuries are due to fatigue.

They don’t run around a lot so is probably the only position I wouldn’t rotate.

Having looked at the first 10 or so games in the PL we started each with our strongest 11 and made plenty of substitutions in them games.

We currently have 13 missing players. That’s got to be a record.

That’s my point. We have rotated where we can but as injuries have mounted up it becomes so much harder to rotate due to where we are on this journey. We don’t have the depth in squad quality other teams have because our journey has started after theirs has. And you don’t throw kids on with no experience at the death in important games for their benefit as much as the team’s.

Not saying EH hasn’t made substitutions which confused me or failed to which confused me but it’s not to any significant degree and he has seen everybody in training etc and has a fuller picture than me and everyone else. Also I’m sure Ciyt and Arsenal fans say the same about their manager.

It’s a difficult one. Today’s game I think we might see a similar approach to the City game.

Tottenham will batter Newcastle i reckon if they try anything cute. Newcastle need to just go out there and play the way they do and not like they are for some reason away from home.

If Newcastle are losing 1st half it'll get messy when the legs go after 60 minutes as usual.

Newcastle are dreadful away from home.
