Joelinton wins tackles and unfortunately we need him as proven when we played gayle in this system it just didnt work.
He's actually not been bad the last 3 or 4 but people are after him for his poor offensive and I get that, but it's about the system as a whole for me.
I wouldn't play Gayle like. I'd probably play Carroll even though he runs like he's got his boots on the wrong foot

Not the way I like to play... The old get it down the wing and cross it in ****e is not the way fwd.. I feel we need someone to hold it up though and a threat on set pieces.
It's the only way he's useful. Bruce tried Almiron and Hendricks on the wing with him in the middle it's useless. I know it's 90s bullshit but we're down to the bones it's the best option

I just don't see where the goal will come from... West brom are actually a very solid side in terms of defending and I fear we will see a Sheff United away team sheet
The system we've had since Jones came in works so all we should do is put willock in almirons role, move hendrick or a Longstaff into willocks and use Fraser Murphy or Anderson to replace max.
I don't like this idea we need to ditch the new system because of two or 3 injuries.. We'll still have a weaker side but its more likley to actually function.
I can't say I'm looking forward to this game, Bruce will look at yesterday's results and say to himself "I was right it's not a must win game"! BTW 3-2 win for us Clark with the winner though he went against Bruce's advise going up for the injury time corner.

I would have liked Southampton to have lost and also Burnley. But I suppose it clears the decks. Brighton losing was important.
