He’s looking ****e mate and apparently Howe wants him in Jan. we are supposed to be offering 80m.

Not a £20 note flapping in the wind hung style chance of that happening.

Palace have tried to play us and it’s backfired. Brilliant.

And we have Botman and Lascelles to come back.

I'm never against servants of the club retiring here, but I am against older players stinking out the club refusing retirement.

Matt Ritchie should have retired, Trippier is probably on the brink of it but could go another year as a sub (Howe won't allow this), Wilson is well past his sell by date. His legs are GONE.

If Burn wants to retire at Newcastle he needs to not retire when he's 40 and can barely stand.

Alan Shearer, for example, retired at a perfect time.

I agree. This is basically a case of if the club allow this to happen it’s not what I thought this takeover to be.

Burn has been average at best. Terrible at worst and we can’t be in this game if he’s a local hero give him a contract.

I want us to be professional and successful not sentimental.

Man City as they developed into this current behemoth they didn’t sit and allow a manager like Howe to give his mates who tickle his balls contracts.

It’s a win win really. I think we may improve. Gordon has signed a new contract. So that’s a positive.

We beat Chelsea in the cup and we maybe get a pot. So something to look forward too.

I have been thinking about a question someone posed to me about who I would replace Howe with.

I’ve concluded that there isn’t anyone better that is available. So I will back track and accept the seasons outcome.
