Does Longstaff have a better prem record than Tonali? Yes, he does.
Tonali is still unproven in the prem. I wasn't convinced by his performances before his ban. He looked well off the pace. Of course, this isn't unusual for players new to the prem.
Barnes isn't as good as Gordon, but he is still a very good player.
Barnes and Gordon on the left wing is an example of what the club want in every position on the pitch.

Who's talking about the leagues? I'm talking about ability.

Longstaff is nowhere near as good <laugh> that's the answer you're tap dancing around.

he'll be phased out this season mate... Barnes ? I agree with you there.

A team that has won 23 honours in their history despite having been formed more recently than our last trophy. They're a successful Japanese club who are well into their season - I'm surprised they agreed to play us to be honest.

Following the game the cult said we shouldn't read too much into pre season games and they were actually right for once, but now they've ruined it by carrying on like Longstaff is the next messiah after a pre season game.

I agree entirely to be honest and was poking fun at the situtation. For clarity though there's also a faction of fans who masterbated themselves raw over Minteh doing well in pre-season so I guess these games count when it suits a narrative but not at other times. Personally I'd say that none of the results really matter in the slightest and the performances are all to be taken with a huge pinch of salt.

I know mate it's all good.

Minteh will be a very good player and that's based on his performances in Holland the champions league and pre season, but like most things people can only make their own assessments and the future will provide the answers.

The entire pre season is a training/fitness exercise. Longstaff will start vs Southampton because I don't think Willock is at his best yet and tonali is unavailable.

Hopefully Longstaff can produce, but I feel like the time is almost upon us when he will play badly and then he'll be phased out.

Friendlies are about the squad not being a bunch of fat ****s and that's it.

No point of them apart from that.
