Toney was in league one for 2 years after we sold him btw, just trying to say he might not have been all that back then.

Joselu is another nufc missed....that was the fans aswel though because they really hated on that lad.
Let’s distort the truth again.

The fans didn’t like Joselu they never ‘really hated on’ him.

The reason? He was useless. Nothing sinister, nothing unusual. He played 46 times and scored 6 times. A strike rate of 1 in 7.5 games. He wasn’t abused or anything by the fans.

Well done to him for what he’s achieved but he never showed anything at Newcastle to suggest he would do anything at our level or above. To say otherwise is simply trying to distort reality and facts.

He was clearly a capable player and the fans did take the piss out of him. The same happened to Joelinton who again was clearly capable.

Players get bullied all the time here and at other clubs, so let's not lie.

Strange. I was at the matches he played at St James’ (I might have missed one or two) and cannot recall any abuse or ridicule of Joselu or ‘hating’ or ‘bullying’. I accept Big Joe did get abuse etc just before being swapped to midfield as fans had gotten sick of his doing an impersonation of a jigsaw puzzle.

So, back to Joselu, as you say, let’s not lie.

He also had the same stats at Stoke and Celta Vigo. There's a massive difference between people online slagging off players whilst watching matches and what actually happens in the ground.....

Denials but we all know what went on...... I suppose the racist abuse Ameobi got at matches was my imagination aswel.

I've been reasonable and pointed out this happens at all clubs, so stop trying to defend something I've witnessed first hand.

There's numbers of our fans that are awful mate and they've recently been told off by Darren Eales for phlegming on staff and abusing players, but of course that's not you or the other good people., so don't take it all personally mate.

You're talking **** mate
As others have said I attended all the home games and never heard any 'bullying' or any abuse towards him
I can't vouch for all away games but that wasn't your point

There may have been moans and groans when he missed a sitter but that not abuse

Where did you witness this event ???

Thanks for that, but I definitely wasn't imagining it mate. I have been to a few matches over the decades.

I've been saying all clubs have this issue because I knew people would get defensive, but unfortunately it's happened anyway.<laugh>

Good morning let's move on I can't deal with arguments

So when / where was this event ?

Maybe you have a different perception of what is 'bullying'
Even though its early morning I'm trying to rack the grey matter to recall anything like that happening to any player

If a player was getting hounded like how you say by 'fans' , I'm sure the manager would have hauled him off,
Otherwise the abuse would be aimed at the manager, the same way some on here vent their anger towards Howe for keeping Burns or Longstaff on yet you don't see any 'bullying' on a scale you are suggesting towards them at the games, when they are playing,
We all shout you stupid **** when they miss a sitter or give away a penalty but that is not ' bullying' that is frustration
You may have sat next to someone who was like that, constantly abusing him, but.you cannot say
just because one person said something it was everyone or gospel true

You're a good guy, but unfortunately fanbases are merely a sample size of the human race so vile abuse is a guarantee especially in working class cities.

This is going to last all-day now because I'm going to be under attack from people with pitchforks, but I'm merely pointing out things I've seen and experienced with Joselu and many many others.

Let's hope the build up to the west Ham game will detract from this because I'm not looking for any arguments Today.

Have you got any links to interviews where Joselu talks about the vile abuse?

Not sure why a purple patch at one of the best clubs in the world suddenly makes him an outstanding player. That would be akin to declaring Miggy to be one of the best right wingers in the world midway through last season. I think he was symptomatic of a penny pinching regime and was just the physical manifestation of that. He was meh. But at £1.7m nobody expected more. Fans were more frustrated at the inertia of the club so frustration was felt everywhere, to suggest it was personal is somewhat missing the obvious point.

He was outstanding before he went to Madrid that's why he got the move.

I don't know I dont need a interview to know what I heard and what I saw... I'm trying to move this on because otherwise it will never end.

Can we maybe move onto Howe, his tactics and game management? I think people are unclear. Everyone needs to cheer up on here it's getting grim.

Joselu has been OK at Madrid.

He was very good at Espanyol.

International football is ****, it's why I don't follow it. Anyone scores.

Joselu was an OK target man I thought, but he was cheap as chips.

Tbh, I probably said something different at the time. <laugh>

I did want Bruce shotgunned I know that much

**** I spelt my name wrong ... must have been sniffing too many bumholes.

He was a decent enough player we just had an awful side and he wasn't used correctly by Rafa.

Ultimately it's a different club now and I'm interested to see who they can bring in to replace Wilson this summer .. or will they even bring a striker in?

With Joselu we thought we'd signed a **** striker and he turned out slightly better than we thought. Still wasn't good by any stretch, his goal scoring record was pretty dire, and in terms of players we expected nothing from, he was nowhere near as good as Sibierski.

In the same way that despite what Luuk De Jong and John Dahl Tomasson went on to, they were undoubtedly crap in the Premiership.

I thought all the managers of the past few years were ****ing crap tbh.

Rafa included.

We had about 1 good season were we played a really good brand of football under Pardew, after that?

Crap.
