Just so long as he loses in the CL. If they win the final, they take up one of the 4 CL spots next season.
United would have to win the Europa League as well, and not finish in the top 4 for the 4th spot to go. You are allowed maximum of 5 places in Champions League and European trophy winners take precedence over 4th spot.
Oh OK.
I thought it was a maximum of 4, including the defending CL champions (i.e. potentially top 3 plus ano).
But top 4 sounds much better.
