100% agree. We have missed a golden opportunity this season though, there is no getting away from that. Liverpool and Chelsea will be a lot stronger next season.
4th still potentially up for grabs tbf, unlikely, but not impossible. We're gonna be stronger next season too, the quality gap between us and them wil close further.
We are potentially going to have Thursday - Sunday football to contend with. It's going to take time to adapt to that. I would expect us to be fighting for 7th/8th next season at best.
Not happening. Squad will be expanded should we get into Europe, this ain't Ashley with his no investment if we get into Europe. They'll be gradual progress in the league, not regression.
Miserable old bastard in stupid hat. Maybe he just watch a home rather than for the last 10 years being a miserable old fart in the crowd that the Sky cameras love to focus on.
Top 6 has bragging rights, top 8 doesn't - you hear "top 6", "the big 6", "getting into the top 6"....no one says this about top 8. Top 8 always has overachieving bad teams in it, ie previously teams like Everton, Burnley,Villa etc got in there. Although it would be slightly disappointing to finish 6th after being 3rd, top 6 would still be great given the teams above us. Being overtaken by Brighton or Fulham would be bad.
