Tell you what, for anyone who thinks (rightly) that Wood is poor, spend some time watching Fulham’s Carlos Vinicius. Makes Wood look like Benzema.

Man U score right at end ffs

Yep and it was all down to the worst player I’ve seen, Vinicius. Completely fcked up an attack when he just needed to keep the ball, instead he swings in a blind cross to give them possession and they head up the other end and score. The goal was shambolic from Decordova-Reid and Leno. Honestly, it looked almost like match fixing.

Anyone who thinks Wood is poor should cast their mind back to Emmanuel Riviere, Luuk De Jong, Andreas Anderson, Carl Court, Daniel Cordone, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Albert Luque, Chopra, Xisco, Stephanie Guivarch, Shefki Kuqi, blah blah blah...

The Fulham defenders looked like a bunch of paraslyed sloths, Garnacho just ran right through them.

Let me just say this. Wood is technically ****ing ****. No debate.
However we don't play to his strengths, he need crosses floated in at head height, when we cross, we whip them in at shin height.

That being said he did harass well yesterday.

Wood just doesn’t fit our style of play, simple as. He was a good player at Burnley, consistently hitting double figures for a relegation candidate, that’s good going imo.

Wood was signed for two reasons, remove Burnley’s main source of goals therefore relegating them which was a success, he also offers a route one if we need that option but thankfully we’ve been playing so well under Howe we never need to resort to lumping it forward.

Like I said, watch the bloke for Fulham. So, so bad. Cost them 3 points alongside some comatose defending. Incredibly irritating but im glad there’s a break because Manyoo keep picking up lucky wins when they’re actually ****. A reset might halt their momentum.

Hopefully they pick up a few injuries from the WC, they have a lot of players heading to Qatar.

I agree they’re jammy bastards, 6 from their 8 wins have been by one goal.

Let’s all remember he’s being paid 100k a week.
