It could go either way, but if you remove Isak Guimareas and Tonali (will all happen) then you've got problems.
It's been frustrating because we needed 3 or 4 of their standard to really kick on and unfortunately it hasn't happened.
Bruno G won't go anywhere, he's not appealing enough to the elite I don't believe. All the bigger clubs are well stocked in CM and there's always more to go around. Bruno's not massively better than Rice, Fernandes, Caicedo, Macallister, etc., etc. You look at smaller clubs and the likes of Wharton, Baleba, Scott and many more would be bought before anyone came for him.
Tonali's different, he's elite. Depending on how we spend and do this season - and this is why I cannot get my head around the failings of Nickson/Howe on the striker situation, due to the importance of it - I'd guess that Tonali will be the next to go. He'd be another £80m+ but think Man U, if they improve, might aim for players like him next Summer. City another possible destination, and Juve if they sort their wage situation out.
I'm ok with us being tier two for a while yet, its why I'm so frustrated at a Summer spent chasing Tier One targets. I get the attempt at ambition, sure, but we HAD to have a backup plan filled with development players like Tino, Hall, etc. And we haven't.
