I would pay up to £10 million for Joe. for Bony around the £12m mark Townsend about £12m max Redmond around £10 - £12m mark And for selling Gomis then 3d old money or put him in a black bag and put him outside some charity shop somewhere...
Wonder what Sutton and Saveage would say this morning.... http://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/01...lvey-to-newcastle-united-chris-sutton/264589/ http://sport.bt.com/video/swansea-foolish-to-sell-shelvey-to-newcastle-91364033981991
Shows that these idiots know nothing about swansea city. Jack Cork and Britts are x10 the player Shelvey will ever be. As we're sitting pretty in mid table it's thanks to players like jack and Leon. RE: Shelvey; "He pulled the strings. He's a player. I look at Swansea, they have [Jack] Cork and [Leon] Britton and for me he's a better footballer than them"
I think the way Joe's finishing the season, even if he wants to come back, you're talking what we paid for him.
I think Liverpool won't want to let Joe go anyway unless they have a bigger name coming in to replace him. He's doing quite well at the moment and many Liverpool fans seem to have taken to him.
I'd be prepared to pay double that for Bony. He is the best we've had in my memory. Townsend and Redmond - I'm not interested really. I'm happy with how Barrow has come along and Montero is better than Townsend but needs to be more consistent. I think Townsend suffered inconsistency at Spurs though. Routledge still has a lot to offer as shown in his recent performances. Maybe a bid for a winger somewhere but not necessarily one of those two. Gomis - if we get anything more than him being off the wage bill it should be classed as success. What's the feelings regarding Paloschi ?
For me Paloschi is a wait and see what happens with Siggy and Ayew . Paloschi is my#1 unless Ayew and Siggy both leave . If they do then Paloschi slides in behind a brand new , big money , striker ( Bony ) , no more than 18 million
IMO Townshend would be a great bit of business. You can't really assess his ability based on his time at spurs as a lot of players don't make the grade there for some reason. (Siggy) You just got to look at his impact at Newcastle to see that he'll be a great addition for us. Just think how dangerous Montero one side and Townshend on the other would be. Barrow is gonna be a top player for us one day but I feel he hasn't got the maturity to be a starter yet but it's only a matter of time for him. Routlage will be a great back up player but he's getting on now especially as a winger. He's not as capable of taking defender's on like he used to do. I feel that Siggy may go this season to a top club so Ayew will fit in nicely in that position of he does. I like Paloschi and think he may be a good player for us next season, remember he's in a new county and can't speak the language yet. It's a matter of patience with him, remember Bony took half a season to settle in. I'd welcome Joe Allen back with open arms but I it'll all depend on his valuation anything above £10 million is too much IMO I think we'll get a better bargain with Fer for around £5-6 million. IMO our top priority based on no one leaving; RB CM (fer) RW ST Also I'd love to see Guido use his contacts to bring in an Italian midfield general.
I like Paloschi a lot but I can't see him start ahead of Ayew unless we persist with Ayew out wide (not that he actually plays out wide but you get my drift). Up front I think Ayew seems more of an intuitive striker and makes goals out of nothing for himself. I actually hope we keep both.
Ayew for me is a natural number 9, anywhere else he's average. Paloschi I think will develop well next season, he has a good work ethic, is technically good, and just needs some better service and run of form. If any transfers need priority, it is the Striker position and RB, that will satisfy me, as long as the Striker is of Bony's quality..........
Agree with most of this Phil and I agree about Ayew, Where you are spot on we do need a quality striker and we should do all we can to get Bony back, it is a no brainer, he knows the club and a lot of the players and we know he can score goals and lets not forget he sets a few up as well.
Palochi has not had many opportunities due to injury and what i did see of him he looked promising. Ayew will be gone IMO in the transfer market and i cant see bony wanting to come back here anyway, He will want a bigger more fashionable club than us.. So with my reckoning we need two quality strikers at least. We need replacements for Rangel and leon who will be used more as cover next season and we need a replacements for ash and routs so they don't play every game and burn themselves out that they make mistakes like ash did quite a few times this season.
Sunday could be one of those days where we could finish in 10 th place , with our 2nd highest point total in 5 seasons in the Premier , after being 1 point from relegation with 16 games to go . Good days , even with some bad plays , but hey , the best maybe yet to come once the foundation is now set .
I'll take some of that optimism but I have to confess it goes against the grain after some of what I've seen this season. If Guidolin can get them to perform like they did v the Hammers we can win it.
My #1 excitement for the coming season is there should be " No Pressure " for the manager who will run the team after running the team the previous season for the final 16 games . Guidolin will have a valuable summer to tinker with what he saw and see what he can do to improve team .
We sign them and it would be a big statement of intent, but do they fit into the way that Guidolin has said he wants to play.
