Can't believe how many dick heads get their jockey licences, or indeed keep them. I saw some jockeys still flogging their mounts when they were a good 100 yards behind the leading horses, with not a chance in hell of getting anywhere near the placed horses. And I'm not talking about the Grand National.
I haven't bothered to make a note of the idiots but maybe I should have and asked the BHA to review the races and ban the buggers..
It's all very well banning jockeys for not gaining the best possible position with their mount but I would like to see bans introduced for jockeys who run their mounts into the ground when they have no chance. I wonder how many deaths have been caused by jockeys not pulling up their mounts when they clearly have no chance and little if any more to give.
