Not wishing to jinx tomorrow's game but nobody seems to think we are for the drop which is reassuring.
So we're now 15th, 11 points from the relegation spots and 11 away from 7th - pretty much middle of the table. 3 wins and a couple of draws sees us to.the the magical 50 points supposedly required for safety, but I don't think we will even need that many this year. I can't see the teams from Birmingham, Bolton, Hull, Barnsley, Sunderland and Burton securing 20+ points from the remaining games, in fact I don't see some of those getting to 39 points where we stand at the moment. Hopefully Ollie doesn't become complacent like last year and pushes on for as many points as possible, but maybe we can start to breathe a bit and enjoy our football again, although changes do need to be made during the off-season if we are not to stagnate (financial pressures may dictate where these changes take place, but the last big earners will be squeezed out or put onto reduced salaries). Anyway, good win today, and good to see the youth coming through and assssting the team to victory - U Rrrrrrsssss
So of the first 8 games I was wrong twice. Thumped by Forest and soundly beaten Villa. That means we're two points further than I expected with projected total of 52 (assuming correct predictions for last games - Not likely). Feels like we're safe already but perhaps a few more points first. Great win tonight and delighted for our dedicated away fans.
Looking at the results I predicted......I thought we would have got only 6 points whereas we have gained 12. I think that the logic here is for me to predict more draws and defeats......as this maybe inspires the team to stick two fingers up at me.
