It will be interesting to see if he succeeds in getting him to stay. I suspect Tony either has agreed to join Grant, or maybe he wants to be closer to home in Wales where his son is now playing in goal in the Welsh league I believe.
So, couldn't it be something short and snappy like "Tony Pennock is probably doing one as he's handed his notice in and OLM reckons he's unlikely to change his mind, but Shota is going to have a good go at trying to persuade him to stay". ? Just trying to help ensure that this board is reflective of the full FACTS.
Doubt if he will join Grant. What is the incentive. Peterborough unlikely to put much into their academy given their losses and impending relegation and unless he is taking over from no trousers it is not a career move. We have been promised by the new owner to invest in the City Academy and would be a better option to stay and build his reputation
He signed off his second part “Diolch,” according to google it’s thanks in Welsh, so maybe a clue, the person saying he might go back to Wales, might be right. Or he could just be proud of being Welsh & uses that a lot?
Really sorry to see Tony Pennock go, he has been an excellent coach for both the U23's and the first team. He obviously has plans to do something else, so good luck to him where and whatever he does.
