Yet h couldn't tell us why his tactics fail to create space and chances for his strikers. He's a nice fella he he's not taking us to the next level.
I get that, but who choses the incoming players, TM had no say except for Dack. It can't be easy trying to pick a team of young lads you know little or nothing about, other than data sheets. I admit he has his limitations but a great man manager.
If his job was so **** and difficult why did he stay for 15 months. He's a millionaire and doesn't need the hassle. He'd of just left man if it was more bother than its worth
No he didn't. It was a question asked in regards to a specific position. Strikers. Why would they spend on another when they've signed 4 this summer? Of course there won't be money to sign one of those.
Bit like saying he coule have us promoted, finish top half in the prem, but lose 3 or 4 on the spin and he is sacked, because his face doesnt fit. Ok to have a plan, but if you cant adapt and learn in the face of evidence, or if you are so weak to not follow through on your plan because the fans dont like it, you have to question the leadership and their know how.
And we can't return 1 of them who is on loan, and really is not up to the job. I would not keep a tradesman who was not good enough to do his job, so why should Sunderland
Need to give them time tno I manage a team in my day job, sometimes we recruit people and they hit the ground running and others take a bit of time to get up to speed
Ah, that would because we have 4 already and other areas of the team that need attention. Like I have said before those lucky enough to have itk knowledge need to word posts carefully as rumours gather pace quickly these days
The club is always there and has to pay the player for the length of the contract. The manager can demand players, on a whim, without paying a penny and run away without a care if his players are shyte. I back the club every time.
I think (hope) Burstow will come good. I quite like the rumour that he's not been happy with the setup so far. That would suggest to me that he feels he's got goals in him but the system isnt playing in to his strengths. All good strikers are full of themselves.
I agree, but as a scout, if any young pro from Chelsea comes along you would expect him to offer a bit more than he has shown. Good night lads
Does this not prove Speakman is correct to not allow the coach to be too involved in recruitment? Abit like how Neils signings at Stoke have proven to be poor also. Almost as if Speakman knows what he is doing eh.
As a scout you look at both current ability as well as potential Burstow hasnt been good so far, thats clear to see but i dont write off players this early. I remember so many slagging off Amad his 1st few games and he then became unreal for us I also dont believe we have set Burstow or any of our strikers up for success so far this season with the slow atacks n wingers taking too many touches Night mate, enjoy the game tomorrow if you are goinv
