When someone is saying they've noticed that a manager is tactically naive, or making the wrong substitutions, etc ...

... I always wonder why they aren't involved in football or why the club doesn't take steps to find them and give them the manager's job.

They're so supremely confident of their opinions that it's almost inconceivable that they could fail.

Come on KLD, show some ambition and let a supporter pick the team, make the subs and get the tactics right ffs.

And I gave MY opinion, that's all it is ... not saying anyone has to agree.

Perhaps this is the road we should go down.

Ligue 1 strugglers Lyon have sacked Italian manager Fabio Grosso after just seven games in charge.

Grosso, 46, leaves seven-time French champions Lyon bottom of the table after overseeing only one victory in his seven Ligue 1 matches. His dismissal comes less than 11 weeks after he replaced the sacked Laurent Blanc in September.

Name me some strikers that are currently playing in the championship that get as little service as ours do that would magically transform our team.

Burstow 9 shots, Rusyn 9 shots, Hemir 8 shots, Mayenda 5 shots. With them shots they have generated 4 xG so altogether our strikers should've scored 4 goals. Even if they had scored them 4 that is still nowhere near good enough in terms of chance creation. Freddie Ladapo, Ipswich's maybe 3rd choice striker has played 244 minutes this season and had 14 shots and generated 3.16 xG. For comparison, Burstow has played 495 minutes and had 9 shots with 0.8 xG, Rusyn has played 287 minutes with 1.17 xG, Mayenda has played 135 minutes had 5 shots with 0.2 xG and Hemir has played 244 minutes had 8 shots with 1.4 xG.

The issue is not the strikers. The issue is the lack of service to them and the system Mowbray is continuing to play.

I don't disagree. It's up to TM to play a system to feed our strikers.

How likely are we to be able to attract him here? Little.

Get us playing the quick passing game again that destroys the opposition and possibly try swapping the wingers over to hit the byline on their strong foot and all will be fine. I hope it’s TM that makes the changes, I can’t understand why some want him binned already it’s not like we’re down and out more a blip. An ugly unentertaining blip but it can be rectified with the same gaffer and back room staff.

He's been sacked from almost every job he's had.

We’ve been down that road before and we all know where it leads. At some point TM wil go as all managers do, all I want is for it to be a well planned transition on the clubs terms. By that I mean we know who the next coach is we want, we are confident of an improvement in performance, and do not just the sack the manager and try to find someone else in a mad panic.

The issue is that we've been completely sussed. When we didn't have a centre forward we were better.

Now we have 4 and cannot find one of them. We are far to predictable and have no other weapons in our arsenal.

I think its inevitable a change happens in the summer at the latest

It's a crisis Baldrick......a twelve story crisis with crisis written all over it.....ffs put this sh*t to one side and focus on the next game.....played the best football ever with this guy in charge. Want to change things.......get him a striker or two that will put the ball in the of the net.....simple....then let's see what happens? Then judge the lad. TM worked miracles last season and can do it again if you give him the firepower.

Its a football forum, not a job centre , what else we can do if we think something is not right but bring it up for discussion , no one is expecting the club to listen to what we say surely , we are all just supporters with varying degrees of tolerance, nothing more , nothing less. OaU

Yeah, we’re predictable because we’re labouring on the ball and slow as **** in the build up. Change back to where we were in the not too distant and all will be fine.
TM will likely be sacked at some stage most managers are, I just think he’s earned a little leeway at the present time.

Feel like smashing my head off a brick wall. WE DO NOT CREATE CHANCES FOR OUR STRIKERS SO WHY WOULD ANY OTHER STRIKER BE SCORING GOALS FOR US?

Because people are doing my head in talking about the supposed lack of strikers when we have 4 who have barely had a good chance between them. Ipswich's 3rd choice striker has had better chances created for him than our 4 combined but apparently we need another striker? Provide service for the ones we have and watch them flourish, continue to give them nothing and they will continue to not score.

Labouring on the ball...Ekwah is a prime example of that. He's constantly had the ball knicked off him in midfield. He has been slow on the ball recently. Not enough urgency from a few. The only player we are short of from last season is Diallo. Were we really a one man team last season?

I tend to question his thinking, again, for his four substitutions last night. That smacked of panic stations, something we never saw last season. Even the way we started the game never seemed right with some strange nervousness in our play. It's not that Huddersfield were decent, far from it.
