Evening Lads,

A a mate of mine is the son of your former right back Tony Gill (who had to retire after a serious injury)

Just wondered if any of you had any of memories of him as a player or can even remember him?
 
I remember him yeah, was one of 'Fergie's fledglings' in the late 90's, along with Russel Beardmore, Mark Robins, Lee Martin and the like.

None of them really made it although Martin scored the winning goal in the 1990 FA cup final ( I was there, heady days!!) so he's got his place in our history, as does Robins who allegedly saved Fergie's job.

I think Gill was more a midfield than right back though, but then he didn't really get thay many games before injury so I could be wrong.
