In the earlier part of the season when Isla was having trouble he benefited from having Vargas in front of him on the right. He DID track back (most of the time) and tried to help his mate out.
I know what you wrote as I quoted you in post #7, as you raised the spectre of Danny Simpson I merely asking where that decision got made. In the context of the thread and your post and our current predicament I thought it prudent to ask. I looked around anyways and found that Simpson himself stated That the manager called him into the office and told him Leicester had made an offer. My point is that who told Leicester he was available? or was Harry forced to Sell Danny Simpson to Fund Jordan Mutch? Either way my point was that our Chairman may have been involved in this whole murky affair. If you didn't mention Harry selling him then what did "Thanks to Harry" mean exactly? I hope Rhino has explained himself to your satisfaction.
Ah the 1 Game Plan. It is possible but Simpson was reliable, fit and young. His value would have gone up had we survived. Is Harry that stupid? Really, cause if he is then we are better off. Nothing to do with balancing the books on the Mutch deal then as Im sure I heard that was the case.
Surely that would still make it Redknapp's fault - offered the choice get to get Mutch you must lose Simpson he says yes, then offloads Mutch as well. And that was at the time of the Air Asia crash, I'm no fan of Fernandes (anymore) but I don\'t think he was concerning himself with this crap then.
Simpson is irrelevant. We have Ned and Isla who are better, plus Furlong who soon will be. Leicester bottom of the table have little use of him We did well to sell him.
Maybe exactly what happened. Harry must have sanctioned it on some level, but what did we get for him? Always undervalued in my book. The trouble is when transfers are shrouded in secrecy its the fans who get short changed. Why else does information once the norm in the game now get treated like a prize. My perception is, clubs request a non disclosure clause into all deals now, then hang their managers out to dry when things go pear shaped. Then give a multitude of "Business reasons" for their prudence or lack of. The games will always need new owners/money. This is a reasonable statement, even from me. Fans need transparency on transfers. Who in the game cares? who has the power to change things, not the fans. Unless we stop going to matches & buying Sky Managers can be replaced. Just ask any owner. The current trend on here is blame the last man out and god knows I've done it before just look at the signature, but after promotion this time round I'd love to see the difference in the summer transfer budgets of 2012-13 and 2014-15. I still blame Hughes, Rigg, Beard, Fernandes and the tea lady.
If Harry read this forum, he'd be laughing himself hoarse. All those threads about him playing old crocks, and within a month we're slating their replacements. The truth is the squad is poor and the academy can't plug the gaps. Whose fault that is depends how far back you want to go
I was going to say it looks like the cake Sooper had at his last birthday! I knew he wouldn't have the heart to eat it
Has anyone mentioned the shocking defending for the third goal. We had three so called experienced pros all chasing the man with the ball like flies around a turd leaving Ward all on his on in the box without a QPR player within 5 yards of him. Sandro should have been picking him up.
