Sadly `Woy` is so negative and rigid in his tactics and football nouse, we well never play an expansive game to rival the top teams in the world, the sad thing is that we`ll cruise through this qualifying group and everyone will be kissing his arse until we come up against a decent team who will rip us another arse hole, and show us for the very average team we are. I mean Jordan `fkn` Henderson, wtf is he doing putting an England shirt on, thn replaced by the other fckwit Milner !!!
Ferguson never did it again, he learnt; I thought Clough a good tactical manager, but a gobshite with a monster ego. Exactly why I put Cape Verde in there!
You're the guy who would drop Rooney from the 23; okay, all ears. Edit: Where did I say I was happy with England??
Recently, Jose M criticised his own players after their recent win over Shrews. As well as criticising his own players at Madrid. I’m sure I’ve read/heard Ferg having a pop at his Utd players for not scoring more/playing better after a win – which is what I was asking of Hodgson. Hodgson is extreme though, my personal fave is: (after the 0-0 draw with Costa Rica, with England already out and Costa Rica progressing as group winners) "I take positives - this was a banana skin. To get that display was great since for many it was new,"
Need a goal for Iceland for my double to come in (combo with Denmark to score - which came in on Friday) Very, very small stakes on this correct score double: Israel 0-0 Bosnia Italy 1-1 Croatia. @ 47-1 I’m publishing these bets in an attempt to stick two (yes two) fingers up at my superstitions.
You've explained exactly why we can't play an expansive game and compete with the worlds best, we simply don't have the players.
But we do have the players to play well and win reasonably well against third rate European nations. I've seen worse England teams do so in the past.
Sadly unless the useless cnts at the FA put someone in charge who isn`t necessarily a `yes` man to them, and who has their own ideas with a brave new attitude to take the game to the opposition, then we are always going to be mediocre, sadly when you look around those managers are like rocking horse sh1t, especially to get the best out our current crop.
we don`t have, world beaters, but we do have better players then `Woy` likes to pick, Ross Berkeley, leaving the `ox` on the bench until the last ten minutes, he is frightened of losing as opposed to having a go from the off, totally negative tactics, we have some decent wide men but chooses a diamond formation and stifles the width of the team. As i said earlier, we don`t have world beaters but my god someone with half a tactical brain plays to their strengths
Haven't seen the incident in question but how often does he get away with red card offences? People talk about players like Cattermole getting a reputation and then getting harsh cards because of it, but that doesn't seem to work for Fellaini. Everyone knows he's a thug, yet he never seems to get punished for it.
BBC gossip More people watched the BBC quiz show Pointless than tuned in to England's Euro 2016 qualifier on ITV against Slovenia on Saturday. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ngland-beat-Slovenia-6-3million-watch-TV.html It's all a bit pointless.
Also a refelction on the poor quality of ITV football coverage - Clive Tyldesley is, without doubt, the worst commentator in the history of televised sport.
Tyldesley's sycophantic, whiny nonsense grated to such a degree on Saturday that I could stand it no longer and muted the twat. No respite. The moment he shut the **** up, Andy (specialist subject, stating the bleedin' obvious) Townsend began his puerile mewling and puking. I honestly cannot understand how ITV think that the dreekit duo are worthy exponents of the commentatory art. Unless they are aiming their live football at 5 year olds.
We had David Pleat inflicted on us over here Bill. Used to think he was ok and "knowledgeable" but his reminiscences about who he knew "as a young player" are becoming boring. Should be called David Bleat
This is the question I raised on some recent thread or other. Apparently 12 million watched the WC Final on BBC1 as opposed to 2.8 million who watched exactly the same event on ITV. Even though BBC trad. does better, surely this must have sent alarm bells ringing at ITV who rely on sponsors. Their entire presentation reminds of the dreams I have when I’m ill; in bed with a fever. In fact, it winds me up and puts me off that much, I think I’d be more tolerant of England’s performances if the games where shown on BBC.
That's it Leon, you're taking your hammer to poor old Roy when you should be taking your sickle to ITV.
