After a floodlight failure, play resumed in the Warrington v Colwyn Bay match, with the home side scoring an 80th minute winner. The 8th tier side will now play at home against 6th tier North Ferriby for the right to make it into the hat for the first round proper of the FA cup. Very winnable!
Sweden-France U21 4-1!! They lost 2-0 away, were up 3-0 tonight, conceded a goal in the 87th minute (which took France through on away goals) but scored 4-1 a minute later. Sweden through to the EC next summer As I know you all were dying to know!
Obviously I am not certain they didn't sell them all or sell any - but say you saw a similar image from outside a stadium in Brazil where England are playing the hosts and the image is one of half n half scarves but also prominent on display are Union Jack patterned scarves with "Argentina are B......s" Or "F..k the Argies" would you agree with the sentiment of an Argentinian fan who posts that he hopes England qualify for nothing based on those scarves? What percentage of English fans would purchase them in your opinion? I dig the humour in your half n half comment but it is an obvious screen for what you really want to convey.
You're not 100% sure that they didn't sell any but you are 100% sure all ROI would be disgusted by them. In this case who do you think may have been buying them? If there were "Argy Bastards" or "**** Off Argentina" scarves , as you describe, I'm 100% sure that not all England fans would be disgusted. I certainly wouldn't be. I believe more would be disgusted that they were on the Union Jack & not the Cross of St George. Of course your scarves are make believe & the others are real. How many Argy/Jock/Taff/Paddy (Southern types) fans do you think want England to qualify for tournaments regardless of scarves. I would most certainly prefer them not to. The only purpose of a half n half scarf is to identify ****s. Not all ROI fans would find those scarves disgusting regardless of your 100% certainty that they would be.
It was interesting to see David Meyler playing as a stand in right back for ROI against Germany - he looked a bit like a fish out of water at times but really stuck at it and had a pretty effective game which earned a fair amount of praise from the commentators. I felt a bit sorry for Steven Quinn though. He really gave his all with some great covering work in defence and when he got the ball in midfield he used it very well with lots of his typical pass and move play. He rarely wasted a ball and I thought he was probably the pick of the Republic's team. Unfortunately he was a bit slow to close down the goal scorer and was substituted shortly afterwards at around the 76 minute mark.
That's three games running now. I can see why someone might buy a Trenchin/Hull City half and half scarf as a souvenir, particularly kids, but for the more ordinary Premier League fixtures, I can't see why anyone would want one. My lad was taking the piss out of the bloke selling them at Lokeren, then got to Wembley and bumped into the same bloke selling England/Norway scarves.

England U21s won in Croatia and are through to the tournament in the Czech Republic next summer. Good luck lads.
