Ronaldo or Messi will never be in the same league as the greatest footballers like Pele,Maradona,George Best,Cruyff,Zidane...They are two great players, but a bit overrated.
Wouldn't put them in my top 10 though.
WTF???? Yeah, Messi is overrated!!

When will goalkeepers learn that their own team is outnumbered by the opposition in the area in which they kick the dead ball..? Everyone seems happy to give the ball away.
WTF???? Yeah, Messi is overrated!!
Oh my. Not bad pens either!
Assou Ekotto though, God amongst men.
.WTF???? Yeah, Messi is overrated!!
Why?Do you think Messi and Ronaldo are as good as those players I've referred to?Dan‽;3053281 said:I'm now 99% certain AdamBanana is just a troll![]()
Spain don't seem to pose much of a threat from open play. Their strategy seems to be to pass it around until the other team wear themselves out chasing them around. They'll struggle against a side like the Germans who are good enough to create and take chances when they get possession.

I don't think so,it's just my opinion.
Nani killed Bruno, never should have done that.
It's absolutely true that Spain pass the ball around long enough so that the opposition lose concentration. They actually pass up opportunities to try for goal, in order for the right one to come along. It's a leave-nothing-to-chance approach, and it takes the maybe out of the equation. Often, I have thought that the English style of play builds an attack, only for the team to cross the ball from the byline, leaving everything to chance. You won't catch the current Spanish team doing that, and the funny thing is that excitement goes completely out the window, while they're doing it. So while the purest in me is loving it, the football [sorry, Saints] fan is starting to doze off. I hope to hell the Germans or the Italians beat Spain in the Final.
Messi is the half the player without Xavi and Iniesta behind him.He is shocking for Argentina (yes he scored a hat-trick against Brazil in a friendly a couple of weeks ago) but that is a friendly and I don't take much notice of friendlies Portugal beat Spain 4-0 in a friendly last year and guess who won tonight...Dan‽;3053450 said:It's more the Assou-Ekotto best LB in the world stuff! But in 10 years I'd be very surprised if Messi wasn't spoken of on the same level as those players, the lad won three consecutive Ballon d'ors aged 24, that's unreal, and he's just come off a 73 goal, 29 assists in 60 games season. Yes, I definitely think Lionel Messi is on their level.
