Captain - you're right about the footing and Senderos. Regarding the footing, everyone was slipping last night, not just our players. It was funny watching Senderos fall on his butt, then scramble back to try to catch his man (picking up a yellow card for his trouble) I still see Senderos as cover for Hangeland, but getting more and more comfortable watching him on the pitch. He actually got an assist in the game last night - the pass that led to AJ's second. Having said that, I'm not sure Senderos and Hangeland play together very well at this point. Perhaps there's a lack of understanding between them, but it was shocking and worrisome last night how often the Odense (pronouced Oden - sea) were able to cut the ball back to an unmarked attacker in the middle of the box.
I only caught the last 20 minutes of the game yesterday, but we looked to have it pretty well under control. Given Krakow shipped four goals against Twente qualification for the knock out stages should be pretty comfortable. On the AJ debate - didn't someone once say you're only as good as your last game? Two goals away from home in Europe, albeit against fairly average opposition, is a good showing by any account. And whatever the opposition, his first touch for the second goal was top class. I know others are going to take more convincing, but I'd start him on Sunday. Goal scorers need confidence and AJ can't be short of that at the moment.
