I’d hardly call voicing my worries that he might be out longer as fearmongering…but okay. Good news!
My comment was slightly tongue in cheek but there was nothing to suggest he would be out for weeks.

I just remembered how much Mickey Quinn used to annoy me when he played for them.
Had a mate who was a Luton fan
Went to watch them play Pompey in the FACUP when Luton didn’t allow away fans in. As it was the cup they had to, they put the Pompey fans in a cage (Literally)

Mickey elbowed a Luton defender in the face and broke his nose. Straight red

Luton won <cheers>

What is Coventry famous for? The short answer is "not very much".

Southampton and Coventry share a similar history in that both had the **** kicked out of them by the Luftwaffe in WW2. Coventry being targeted because of it being a city of industry. It has some slightly interesting facts but nothing remarkable, something else it shares with Southampton.

It's coat of arms has an elephant with a castle on it's back and there are more than 300 images and representations around the city. That you would think might be because of some exotic connection to Africa or the Far East, but no. It's because someone thought using an elephant to depict strength and fortitude could also describe Coventry. And then proceeded to saturate the city with elephants.

Most people are familiar with the story of Lady Godiva, but even though she existed, the riding naked part was a myth.

Godiva’s high family status is also attested by the fact that she made a very good marriage, to Leofric, who would later become Earl of Mercia.
Leofric was the son of Leofwine, who had been appointed Ealdorman of the Hwicce, an ancient kingdom within the earldom of Mercia
There is no clear indication as to whether Leofwine was ever Earl of Mercia, although Leofric certainly held that title through the reigns of four kings; Cnut, Harold Harefoot, Harthacnut and Edward the Confessor.

Harthacnut wasn't popular with Leofric who was often heard telling Godiva "as if one Cnut wasn't enough, now we've got another one".

Cnut and Harthacnut were both extremely tall men although there is no record about who was the biggest Cnut.

I spend most of my day arguing with various AI tools and usually come out in front.

I don't think we're in danger just yet considering chatgpts "most advanced" model still can't work out how to give me a code example that actually exists (ie compiles and uses an actual OS API)
Yeah same here mate.....it was once explained to me that its the difference between a scaffold plank and a bullocks foot....hope that helps.

No chance of anything from this match. If we can’t turn over a struggling Norwich, then we aren’t going to halt a flying Coventry. We will go full on Russball, having 70% possession while not leaving our own half.

Don’t you love that spirit of joyful optimism?

I do like Eckert. Even if we lose on Saturday my opinion of this appointment has gone through 180 degrees. Not because I think we’ll now storm the league, add another FA Cup to the trophy cupboard and open next season by beating Arsenal 7-0 at Wembley but simply because he’s got players playing for him. Watching Saints is suddenly exciting again. It’s been a long time coming.

He’s also the embodiment of the Rudyard Kipling idea of treating the “two imposters the same”.

Obviously we’ll win. As long as Jose Fonte scores early!

Echert has us playing Tondaball so let's all have a Tonda:emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance

Less than 700 tickets left for this so should be a decent crowd.

Let's hope they don't go home disappointed.
