Not sure THE captain matters much. You need captains/leaders everywhere to win. I think its possibly why Spurs and Man U are struggling, whereas Liverpool, Arsenal and City clean up. I think it's something Howe buys into as well - hence the reliance on players like Burn.

Anyway, I think to your point Tonali is in the conversation of best CM in Europe. He's deceptively fast, incredible engine, his brain moves even faster than his feet and he just drives the team forward.

Fully agree. Was it CC who started making noises that he was a mistake of a signing a month or two ago? <laugh> CC, thought you had midfield talent expertise or something?

I don't think any of that was untrue at the time and considering what unfolded.

The use of the words so far are key to any escape.
