No, it says the event THAT will follow (ie. there is another event after the presser)...if you take out the 'that will follow later in the afternoon', then what you say is right. That event however could be just footage of the players kicking the ball around.

 

Ahh i see what's happening

"QPR Player will be bringing you exclusive live audio coverage from tomorrow (Friday) afternoon’s pre-match press conference when Mark Hughes will be looking ahead to Saturday’s clash against Norwich City.

The R’s gaffer will speak to the press at approximately 1:30pm, live from our Harlington training ground.

We will also be providing video coverage of the event that will follow later in the afternoon ONLY on QPR Player."

You can listen to the audio from the press conference live, or wait till later in the afternoon when a video of it will be put up.
It's definitely misleadingly worded, i don't think there's any mysterious "event" occurring though, the event is the press conference.
It coulda done with a comma!

 

We've finally got to the point when we are carefully analysing the wording, spelling and grammar of a statement on the website. Oh dear. Transfer windows are bad for my heart.

Is that not his job. It may frustrate us a little but we are already Rangers through and through. His job is to create media interest and focus on our club. This raises profile, gets people talking about us, media coverage and hopefully new fans! Merchandise, cash and the future follow. Talk it down and the media bugger off elsewhere and someone else reaps the rewards. Give the guy a chance!

We should have know by the fact that it is 4pm on a Friday evening. can anyone remeber any club ever making even a moderate annoucement at such a time? No, I didn't think so.
