After the other Everton match thread descended into another arguement I thought I'd start another, plus I've never started a new thread before :D

How does everyone think it will go? I reckon a sly 2-0 win, with Coloccini (from one of those crazy corners we sometimes do) and Ranger getting on the score sheet. It'll be tight but Everton haven't been too great recently and they're missing Fellaini and Cahill so we should be able to get all three points....hopefully. Also, what team do you reckon we'll put out? I'm going to assume that both Ireland and Barton won't be fit, we don't seem to have the best luck with injuries.

I'd like to see:

-----------Harper
Simpson---Willo---Colo---Enrique
Jonas---Tiote---Nolan---Ferguson
-----------Best----Ranger

But Pardew will probably put Lovenkrands on the left instead, where he'll likely do crap and be replaced by Ferguson after an hour or so who'll then whip a tasty ball in for Ranger to make it 2-0

Anyhoo, that's my piece. What do you guys think?

And remember, leave your problems and your attitude at the door.

Ta <cheers>

I'm disappointed you aren't starting yourself. Showing a lack of ambition there mate!!
<laugh>

I think it's near spot on, i expect it to be Guthrie on the right if neither Barton or Ireland are fit and Jonas on the left. Though i would be tempted to go with your line up if i was gaffer.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Enrique will get on the score sheet. Everton have lost some key players and our midfield should be able to boss them about.

Best has to have a good game to make the points safe but I see us winning overall.

Am I the only one, in a strange sort of way, that is hoping Barton is injured and Ireland is available just so we can see what he is capable of?

I'm nothing if not a team player!

Besides, if **** hits the fan, Sholaman will be on hand to save the day

Maybe worth a "Enrique to score at any time" punt?

Can't wait for the game tomorrow. Bolton we were unlucky. This week I think Best may "unleash the beast".

I think 2-1 to us with Best and Nolan scoring and Beckford for them.

As to the midfield dilemma with Barton missing, I would play

-----------Tiote-----------
Jonas------Nolan---Vuckic*
------Best------Lover-----

*not sure if he is on loan, in whch case play Ferguson

Everton are there for the ****ing taking we must win :)

-------------------Harps----------------
Simpson--Saylor--------Colo----Enrique
-----------------Tiote------------------
-----------------Nolan------------------
Ireland----------------------------Jonas----
---------------Best-----Ameobi-----------

we will win 3-0!
Saylor, Ireland and best with the goals

he's at nufc but injured/recovering i think? if he was fit would like to see him get 20 mins :)

Harper

Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique

Barton/Ireland Tiote Nolan Jonas

Best Lovenkrands

If neither Barton or Ireland are available I would go for a 4-3-3 formation like this:

Harper

Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique

Nolan Tiote Vuckic/Ferguson

Lovenkrands Jonas

Best

I expect Williamson to start but I would always have Steven Taylor ahead of him. It would be harsh to drop Willo while he is playing well.

what about playing Enrique on the left wing, Jonas on the right, with Simpson, STaylor, Colo, and Williamson as a back 4?

that could be effective, I'd love to see Jose played further in attack

I like the idea of Jose on the wing but would it be Simpson playing left back? Coleman has looked good for Everton so I wouldn't want to have Simpson out of position against him. Enrique still gets forward a lot from the back but until there is another good option (new signing or Shane Ferguson getting into the team) then I would keep it as it is.

Perch looked solid at Leftback against Spurs earlier this season

we're playing Everton, it's not like he's going to have a hard day...

I'd always like to see Joey on the team sheet, he's been great all season.

As for the result I'm going 2-1 to us with Nolan getting the 1st goal.

Personally I look at it, and think its a home team who draw a lot of home, an away team who draw a lot away and 3 points between them in the league, with the lower placed team having a very winnable game in hand. This all suggests to me a draw, we generally score and concede so I'm going 1-1 Nolan for us, after Saha opens the scoring for them.
