As we know they've beaten Boro, WH, Hull and Brighton away. On the road they've lost against Bristol C and Leeds, not sure who else (if any). Against Leeds, Burnley had 10 men, a 0-1 lead, 35% possession...while Leeds had 17 shots on target and didn't score their first in 2-1 win till the 88th. So as you say, even if we win it will be close.
Poor Comment JMMP But very true. I have always felt your center backs are a massive cog in the Team wheel and we haven't had that this season, well not on a regular basis. Seaborne is still learning his trade and at a higher standard than he has ever played, Martin is a complete novice as far as this standard of football is but is doing OK, Fonte flattered a little to deceive in league 1 because he has struggled a little this season and Hooiveld has shown he has the quality but i think you will see him make the occasional howler but the best we have. Our best pairing is Hooiveld and Fonte but we do need them to be at there very very best as i think they are crucial to us winning promotion. I must say that i would have liked to have seen Hooiveld and Seaborne play together though as i feel Seaborne would have learnt more and they would make a strong physical partnership in this league.
I just hope the fans get behind the team for the WHOLE 90. Moaning and groaning every time a pass doesnt come off won't help, it may be frustrating the law of averages shows many of our atttacks will fail, if we keep going hopefully we will create enough. This season is the first in many when I still believe we'll win when we concede lets all keep the faith our destination is near!!
