Most the players in international football are now recruited as nationals mate. The players simply represent the country.
Lol, your arguments go all around funny twists and turns. A particular stand out is where you mention Brighton going for a German, when his record is literally exactly the same as Howe's this season.
Tuchel has won trophies tough Howe hasn't and he hasn't achieved anything in comparison. England fans should be grateful
Don't give a **** about England, would rather Tuchel took a proper job, hopefully he'll move after 18 months.
To me Tuchel is beyond the best I thought they could have got. Eddie was never leaving us so soon, but it's true that he hasn't actually won anything beyond getting (generally) average players to over-perform. You could argue that even Lampard was better qualified, stupid as that may seem. Why he agreed to just an 18 month contact is a puzzle, but good luck to him.
Sure. One would expect with a net spend difference of about £400m that Howe could do a little better than a 31 year old unknown. Yet he isn’t. So are you saying English coaching is good enough? I don’t follow what you mean by funny little twists and turns, other than coming across as a pretentious, condescending twat.
Howe to Man U, do me a favour!! They’re in a difficult place but what I suspect they’ll do is get Nagelsman out of Germany, though outside chance they take a shot at Amorim or maybe go for the Dortmund bloke we should be all over, Terzic.
Based on so many assumptions that are wrong or misleading. What on earth has one statistic all by itself meant to prove or show? GG and you keep rabbiting on about the net spend and always ignore any other related factor although in fairness to GG he has acknowledged my mentioning this to him last time I was irritated enough to point this out. Think starting position for one.
Would the German out brigade have been saying the same if Klopp had rocked up? Or if Pep was recruited. Tuchel has won more than NUFC has.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think winning a trophy as an international manager is even remotely important. I think an identity, relationship with the fans and representation of your county is the most important thing. Gareth did a mostly great job but was limited and at the end of his tenure. The FA failed to employ someone of note behind him in the U21s, there should be an Eddie Howe, McKenna, Carrick working there ready to step in but they flounder with Carsley then don’t stand by the natural progression.
I agree. Our English coaches win nothing. I suppose it’s because most of the PL clubs are owned by overseas entities. So they don’t value English coaches. And let’s be honest. The world ****ing hates the English anyways because we are so bloody arrogant.
You need a lot of ****ing money to get anywhere in the Prem, and it's getting us somewhere. And even spending money doesn't guarantee success, look at recent Chelsea, Man U and Everton, our spending is massively better than theirs. You always come back to Brighton, who are something of an anomaly as to how well the club is run, and the best run club in the country and one of the best in the world. And what's this got to do with Thomas Tuchel btw?
There are no competent England managers, Tuchel won more with Chelsea in 20 months than any English manager has in their career. The best options (imo), Potter and Howe, are no body's in relation to winning trophies. Tuchel has 11 trophies to his name, he is a winner.
Which, rather than "yay England got Tuchel", presents the question of what the **** he's doing here. So the contract is good I guess, 18 months to win the world cup, and if he doesn't move on to something better.
Can see that, he won't be short of offers if he doesn't achieve what he wants to at the WC - not sure a win is on the cards but with a young squad if we go deep with a decent style of play I think he'll stay on.
