One of the best goals of the season. He's a player that's mostly average, with occasional flashes of excellence.

Feel Tommy Smith has been hard done by and hasnt had a fair crack in the premiership. Hes hardly got a look in yet scored 2 great goals this season (the winner at Everton and a good goal when coming on as sub against Wigan). If we are to return to the championship next year he along with the likes of Mackie, Kenny etc are players we need to keep to have a chance of coming straight back up.

For my money Tommy Smith is the most intelligent footballer at the club. His positional play is excellent and he is always looking to either run into space or play the ball there. He has a good eye for goal and can finish when the opportunity presents itself. His goals last season included the last minute penalty to secure a draw against Portsmouth, the deftest of headers against Coventry and the coolest of finishes against Watford to ease the last minute nerves against Watford. The club would be nuts to let this consummate, hard working professional leave.

    Massively udnerrated player. Massively.

Would be a joke if we let him go, and tbh it is baffling to see SWP in the 18 before him.
