Having seen him play last year, his confidence is so low it was almost pitiful watching him. Dovey was a decent prospect but he's gone and now Bart too. So we need a good no 2 to go with the decent scholar we have coming through (who's name escapes me, sorry).

Good wind-up. You had me checking the OS!

Young keepers are best playing games rather than hanging around. Unlike outfielders, you can't really ease them in. Dovey will probably become a better player by joining Eastleigh and working his way up than he would waiting for his break here. Like the other lad we released, Steve Mowthorpe, he has time on his side and it's probably not out of the question for both to become fairly decent lower league keepers like Scott Bevan.
